We are planning a trip to visit the Amboseli Orphans Project on site in Kimana, Kenya.
The Amboseli Orphans Project is happy to announce that a trip to Kimana, Kenya and to the project site of this project is currently under construction. Through our partnership with Crooked Trails, we will travel to Kenya and participate in a Community-Based Tourism Trip. Highlights would include:
Price: $1,500-$2,000 (before airfare). Note, price is still TBD (we are trying to cater to the backpacker in everyone)
Includes all in country travel, housing, most meals, National Park fees
Time: approx. 14 days

- 12 day homestay with the Nkadayo family in a traditional Maasai boma
- Working in local primary schools
- Helping with food distribution to orphans and their caretakers
- Morning nature walks with Maasai Warriors
- Beading lessons from Maasai Mamas
- A volunteer project to benefit the Amboseli Orphans and the Kimana community
- A safari to Amboseli National Park, which houses the highest Elephant density is Kenya
- Bartering in Kimana, Loitokitok, and Nairobi Maasai markets
